We are a long established operator that own and directly manages 17 character
Country Houses in Great Britain, with some contracts outside of the UK and we run our own programme of Leisure Activity holidays throughout
the year - although December and January are our quieter months.

Each holiday has its own tutor, guide or director
who is expert in his or her subject, and who is chosen as much for their personality
as their technical skills. Approachability and friendliness are givens amongst
our select panel of freelancers. |

You can usually expect to find other holidays running
in the same place at the same time - often walking, but it could equally be something
specialist. We can't tell you how often we're told this is a godsend to friends
or partners who want active breaks but whose interests differ. Do your own thing
at times, meet up at others; whether it's a photo shop course or a Learn to Sing
holiday, they've all got a strong social focus. |

Group size varies from a handful to 20 plus, depending on
type. Where there is a learning element, we make sure the group size is conducive
to making this effective. |

The atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive, whether you are on your
own or not, with sessions generally (see detailed descriptions for more information
as it does vary) scheduled in the mornings and late afternoons for indoor based
holidays, while outdoor themes spend all day out and about, returning in good
time for dinner. |
|
Prices start from £199 per person for a 3-night weekend
starting with dinner on the first night and lunch on the last day, including all
meals and tuition. Some holidays have one or two optional payments but these are
largely to allow flexibility. The prices listed in each section hide nothing and
are great value for money because all you usually have to pay extra for is perhaps
a drink at the bar. |
